To protect yourself and others from scammers on Instagram, here are some tips to keep in mind

Look for signs of a legitimate account, such as a profile picture, a bio, and a history of posts.

  2. Verify Identity: If someone claims to be from a particular organization or faith, ask for more information or verification. Contact the organization directly through their official website or contact information to confirm their identity.

  3. Avoid Sharing Personal Information: Never share personal or sensitive information, such as your address, phone number, or financial details with strangers on Instagram.

  4. Use Two-Factor Authentication: Enable two-factor authentication on your Instagram account to add an extra layer of security.

  5. Report Suspicious Accounts: If you suspect an account is involved in scams, report it to Instagram. This helps the platform take appropriate action.

  6. Educate Yourself: Stay informed about common scams and tactics used by scammers. The more you know, the better you can protect yourself.

  7. Trust Your Instincts: If something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts and be cautious.
